    Frequently Asked Questions

    1.  Can I eat before my massage?

You should not eat at least one hour before your massage.

    2.  What if I am late for my appointment?

If you arrive late, your session will be shortened by that time.  If 15+ minutes late, you will need to reschedule.  Cancellation Policy will apply.

    3.  How much clothing do I have to remove?

Undress to your comfort level!!  If you choose to wear clothing, make sure it is comfortable enough to allow the therapist to touch and move the areas of your body you expect will need to be massaged.

    4. Will I be exposed?

A sheet will be used to cover you at all times. Only the part of your body the therapist is working on will be exposed.

    5.  Will my massage hurt?

Everybody has different tolerances for pain.  A massage that is painful for one person may not be painful for you.  This is why communication with your massage therapist is so important.  If you are experiencing pain, it's important that you say something!  The most effective massages are the ones that do not cause you pain.  If you are new to massage therapy, start with a relaxing Swedish massage.  Deep tissue massages is not recommended for a first time massage.

    6.  Why should I drink water after my massage?

Massaging and kneading muscles causes fluid to move out of the soft tissues and into the circulatory system, where it heads to the kidneys in the form of waste.  Drinking water helps the kidneys eliminate the wast in the form of urine.
